Slovenian Citroën Club

From 1992, origins in YU AS club from 1966,

The Citroën Club of Slovenia is one of the largest car clubs in our country – it unites over 500 members, drivers and fans of legendary Citroën vehicles. We are divided into nine regional sections (Koper, Nova Gorica, Vrhnika, Radovljica, Ljubljana, Celje, Brežice, Maribor and Prlekija).

Otherwise, we are not limited to vintage vehicles, everyone is welcome here, but the iconic Spački (2CV), small and large Frogs (DS, GS), Dianes, Amis and Pigs (HY),… they all dominate in our club. Since the beginnings of the club (YU AS club, Yugoslav Ami Spaček club) date back to the previous country and the 1960s, it is somehow logical that our movement is named after the main “culprit” for our relaxed and unpretentious gatherings – Spaček, or Citroën 2CV; the proverbial simplicity, reliability and also the special design of this model was the godfather of mass gatherings, which began to take place every two years in the 1970s. We sleepers have been gathering since 1975 at the World Meetings of 2CV Friends, which are organized biennially in other parts of the world – in 1995, our club also organized such a meeting in Skoka near Maribor, where almost 1,700 Citroëns of all colors and models gathered at the sports airport. … In 2011, the meeting took place in Spačka’s native land, and the small town of Salbris in the center of France became a Citroën metropolis for less than a week – over 7,000 Citroëns and almost three times as many people gathered.
