Newsletter May 2025

TICKET INFO – PLEASE COMPLETE YOUR DETAILS

Nearly 450 of you who have already registered for the meeting before March 31, 2025, still need to complete your information (co-passengers, vehicle registration, etc.). Please update your details as soon as possible so we can send out the tickets at the end of the month (if you registered after March 31, 2025, you have already submitted all the required information, so this reminder does not apply to you).

Data update is possible via the link we sent you by email. Please check your inbox, and if you can’t find it, check your spam folder or contact us, and we will send it to you again.

DAYTRIPS – COMING SOON

During the meeting, we’ll be organizing a few daytrips around Slovenia for those who’d like to explore a bit more of our small but beautiful country. From the coast to the mountains, and a few stops in between – there will be options to suit different interests. Spots will be limited, so keep an eye on our social media and website for more details coming soon!

MEETING PROGRAMME

The first version of the meeting programme is now available! Head to PROGRAMME to check what we’ve planned for the meeting. The exact locations of certain activities will be added later, and a youth tent programme will also be included. Please note that the programme will continue to be updated and we reserve the right to make changes.

WEB SHOP – REMINDER

Have you visited our web shop yet?

You can order official 2CV Slovenia 2025 T-shirts, stickers, tote bags, and more. And if you’re feeling nostalgic, we have a t-shirt with the design of the 11th World Meeting of 2CV Friends in 1995 (Maribor, Slovenia).

We ship twice a month – on the 10th and 25th – with order deadlines on the 4th and 19th. Check out all the merch we have to offer HERE!

IMPORTANT SAFETY NOTICE

We kindly ask for your cooperation to keep the meeting safe for everyone. Please note:

  • Drone use is strictly prohibited at the meeting site, as it takes place on an airport field. Flying drones within a 5 km radius of the airport’s reference point (CTR zone) is not allowed.
  • Open fires are not allowed anywhere on site (that includes both the main event area and the camping area) due to fire safety regulations. This includes any kind of fire pits and all wood- or charcoal-burning grills.

DID YOU KNOW? – MEET OUR MASCOT, DRAGO!

We are excited to introduce Drago the 2CV-driving olm (Proteus anguinus) as our meeting mascot!

In the past, people believed caves were home to dragons – and when these pale, eyeless creatures appeared on the surface after heavy rains, they were thought to be baby dragons.

Known locally as the močeril, the olm is Europe’s only cave-dwelling vertebrate and the largest of its kind in the world, growing up to 30 cm. Because of their smooth skin and small red feathery gills, olms have long inspired mythical stories – which is how Drago got his name: in Slovene, drag means precious or dear, and in Latin-based languages, drago means dragon!

You’ll be seeing Drago around Postojna throughout the meeting, featured alongside our main visual identity. Keep an eye out!

OTHER USEFUL INFO (in case you missed it)

Special Needs Arrangements – If you require extra camp facilities or have special needs – for example, additional electrical setups for equipment such as respirators or support for mobility-impaired participants – please let us know. Kindly contact us via our info or registration emails at info@2cv2025.si or registration@2cv2025.si so we can add you to our database and make the necessary arrangements.

Registration without a car – we’re offering registration for the meeting without a car: daily tickets are available for €10 per person (valid for access to the main event area, not the camping area); full meeting tickets are valid for the entire event and cost €45 per person if registered in advance or €50 at the meeting.
