Base Camp in Logatec

Looking for a place to stay before the meeting?

A nearby Citroën basecamp will be available in Logatec for anyone arriving early and looking for a spot to stay before the official opening of the meeting. The camp is just a 30-minute drive from the meeting.

Location: Logatec, 45°56’32.1″N 14°12’30.3″E
Dates: 26 – 29 July 2025
Price: €10 per car, per night
Facilities: Toilets and showers on site
Food & drinks will be available
Space for 100 – 120 cars

No reservations and cash only!

The camp is run independently by the owner, but it’s a great option if you want to be close and ready for the start in Postojna.

Meals & snacks offer on site

Not in the mood to cook by your tent every day? Surely you’ll be too busy enjoying the meeting to think about food – but don’t worry, we’ve got you covered!

In the main entertainment area, you’ll find a large food court with a wide variety of options too choose from. There’s something for everyone and every generation: from traditional Slovenian dishes like žlikrofi (dumplings) and Kranjska klobasa (Kranjska sausage), to a touch of Karst and Italy with pizza and pasta, sweet treats like ice cream, burgers, and much more. And yes, tartiflette will be on the menu too – no meeting is complete without it!

We’ll also take care of breakfast: thanks to the team from Postojna, you’ll be able to grab a breakfast basket to-go. You can also stop by a dedicated stand in the entertainment area open daily from 7:00 to 12:00, where you’ll find fresh bread, croissants, cheese, milk, yogurt, and more – all at fair prices.

Speaking of prices: you’ll be able to get a lunch menu for around €10, and there will be options to suit all dietary needs – including vegetarian, vegan, and gluten-free meals.

Bon appétit – or as we say here, dober tek!

Showers, toilets and water at the meeting

We’ve received quite a few questions about hygiene facilities. Here’s what you can expect:

Showers:
You’ll be able to choose between container showers and open outdoor showers– whichever you prefer.. Both come with hot water.

Toilets:
There will be both container toilets and portable toilets at the campsite, so everyone can find their preferred option.
The container facilities will be located at two spots on the campsite. For the portable toilets and outdoor showers, there will be five different spots.

Water:
Dishwashing stations will be available.
In general, Slovenian tap water is drinkable, but since the meeting relies on a temporary water supply, we unfortunately can’t guarantee full purity – so consider the water conditionally safe and drink bottled water if in doubt.

Sunscreen and mosquito repellent

The meeting takes place in the middle of summer, so don’t forget two very important things: sunscreen and mosquito repellent. The sun can be strong, so you’ll need proper protection. And as it goes with summer, mosquitoes are often around, so be sure to bring a good repellent with you. As the saying goes: better safe than sorry.

Drink container deposits

A deposit of €2 is charged for all drink containers (cups or plastic bottles).
If you return the empty container when buying your next drink, you won’t be charged another deposit.
If you return more empty containers than the number of drinks you take, you’ll get a refund of €2 per extra container – but only up to the number of deposits you originally paid.
If you return containers without ordering another drink, you’ll be refunded €2 per returned cup or bottle, based on the number of deposits recorded on your card.

Roadside assistance – SLO Apua Help

If you experience any vehicle issues while coming to the meeting, during the meeting, or while traveling through Slovenia afterwards, our team is here to help.

You can call one of our three support contacts:

  • Vojko: +386 31 599 730 (for western Slovenia)
  • Robi: +386 40 771 144 (for eastern Slovenia)
  • Martin: +386 41 273 667 (backup line)

They will either come to help you directly or send the nearest available member of our club.

Important: On motorways, help can only be provided at rest areas. In all other cases, you must call the official roadside assistance service. Once you’re towed to a safe location (such as a rest stop or motorway exit), please call us. You can also send an SMS.

Side roads in Slovenia – a great alternative to the highway

Not a fan of highways? You’ll fit right in here. Slovenia has plenty of scenic side roads that will still get you from the border to the meeting quickly, since it’s small and easy to cross – you’ll be close to the meeting from any point in the country.

Us Citroën Club Slovenia members love to use these routes to reach local events and meetings – and we recommend the same for you! You might even discover some beautiful spots and attractions along the way.

Painting exhibition by Georg Gedl

Georg Gedl was born in 1945 in Kikinda (Serbia) and already as a boy fell in love with cars and their design. After working in other fields he became a car designer at Audi, and later worked at BMW, IMV (Motor Vehicle Industry) and TAM (Car Factory Maribor).

In 1987 he become a freelance industrial designer. His most significant projects include designing a Yugoslav high-speed train, redesigning Renault 4 vehicles, designing a Microstar minibus (Ernst Auwärter), a BULL-2 articulated loader and an electric tug for airports (Spijkstaal Elektro).

In 1994 he started working with Adria Mobil. His projects varied from interior design for trailers and motorhomes to designing exteriors and graphics.

Drawing vintage cars and collecting model cars has been his lifelong passion – he has over a thousand pieces in his collection. For this meeting, he has prepared a special exhibition of his drawings, whichwill be shown in the entertainment area.

He has also prepared a unique aluminium wall print, which you can buy in our webshop and will be available in the souvenir shop at the meeting!

2CV Museum – Exhibition in the spirit of the Tomos/Cimos legacy

As part of the 25th International Meeting of 2CV Friends, we’re putting together a special exhibition dedicated to the technical and cultural story of Citroën in former Yugoslavia, set in a former Yugoslav Army bunker in Postojna.

From the 1950s onward, iconic Citroëns were assembled under license by Tomos and later Cimos in Koper and shaped the automotive scene (and many childhoods) across Yugoslavia.

Our exhibition will bring together that history with a unique display of iconic vehicles, along with rare documents, publications, memorabilia, and more!

Make sure to catch it between 30 July and 3 August, open from 10:00 to 18:00. You will able to get there by car or by special shuttle bus that will ride everyday and stop both in the center of Postojna and at the museum.
